The Royal Hotel, one of South Africa’s oldest hotels with an art deco atmosphere, has a stoep (verandah) that is excellent for lunch, dinner and cocktails. Excellent wine list, same as at Au Bouchon Rouge.

The Barn up to left from the Main Street, has beautiful views of the village and presents a full menu, also today’s specials.
To mingle with the local winemakers, join the Pizza nights on Thursdays at Kalmoesfontein, the Badenhorst Family Estate. Where the famous wine maker Adi Badenhors often appears.
COFFEE
For coffee, the roastery and café Beans About Coffee is the place just off the main square.
WINE
For wine, the Wine Kollective has the selection of famous Swartland producers like Eben Sadie, Adi Badenhorst, Chris and Andrea Mullineux, Callie Louw at Porseleinsberg, Jolandie Fouché at Wolf & Woman.
